Adventure of Today: Build-A-Bear

Today, I had an influential conversation with a couple of brony friends of mine. I realized that I might just be ignoring the best merchandising option available at this time: plushies. Not wanting to leave anything out, I began looking into the plush toy industry.

I was at a local mall today which just happened to have a Build-A-Bear, so I decided to pay their store a visit.  For a side note: this fandom has seriously increased my confidence about getting out of my comfort zone and entering a repulsively girly place such as Build-A-Bear... and doing so completely alone...

I found out incredible things!  First of all, this company already partners with many other companies to carry stuffed animal toys from everything from Happy Feet 2 and The Smurfs to the xbox owned Kinectimals.  Better yet, their distribution network not only spans the United States and Canada, but encompasses a total of 18 countries!  Finally, although a great deal of the appeal is based around visiting the workshop and seeing the plushie made, there is the option to order online for all you bashful bronies out there.

It doesn't end there, however: Build-A-Bear specializes in accessories and outfits as well.  Can you imagine decking out your amazingly show accurate, super hugable Fluttershy plushie in a stunning gala dress?  (Note: BabyLondonStar's work is unbelievable, you should check it out.)

Here is the story behind the plushie mentioned above: http://bronyfarm.com/?p=142

Anyways, there is much to consider.  The most important factor in all of this chaos is that you, the fans, like the final results.  Do you like the paintable figurines? The huggable plushies?  Perhaps both, or maybe something altogether different?  Let me know below.
